A Bicoastal visual effect studio ArsenalFX has delivered vfx for the new thriller movie “The Call”. “The Call ” is directed by Brad Anderson is based on pulse quickening pursuit of an evasive kidnapper in a new thriller. Halle Berry plays the character of veteran 911 operator Jordan Turner who recieves a call from a girl who is abducted. Turner confronts the killer in order to save the girl.
ArsenalFX has successfully delivered 100 visual effect shots which involved several techniques like CG compositing , 3d shots, rig and chroma removal and numerous blood and gore effects shots. Film released on 15th March 2013.
The project was led by ArsenalFX creative directors Lauren Mayer-Beug and Nathan Boldman. Designer Franco-Giacomo Carbone crafted compelling 911 call center environment. The artists also upped the gore ante with blood and various grusome shots. They creatively made it look realistic. The jumbo screen in acall center was a chroma shot. The team designed and composited the image.They carefully enhanced the close up shots and made physical damages look as real as possible .
