Responsibilities of FX Artist
- FX artists in a studio is responsible for making stunning visual images and CG elements for a film
- Artist has a strong knowledge of Composition , Timing to execute assignments
- Also achieves a graphics that are visualized by the director and supervisor
- Good at solving technical problems
- Integrate FX into production pipeline
Qualifications
- 4 to 5 years of experience on high end animation or VFX films
- Strong knowledge of Houdini
- Knowledge of node based compositing software
- Strong knowledge of scripting
- Should possess the ability to multitask and work independently on given assignment
- Ability and desire to teach and mentor other artists
- Strong visual and problem-solving skills a must
- Scripting/programming experience (python, C++, HDK, etc.) a plus
